This work was exhibited at Number-D’s first solo exhibition, “Intersection Without Borders.”
It features “Punny,” a rabbit character that symbolizes Number-D. Punny was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the name comes from the English word “pun,” meaning a play on words or joke.

The character was created from a hope for the future: that one day, when telling the next generation about the time of the pandemic, they might respond, “Was there really such an unbelievable world?” or “That sounds funnier than any silly joke.” It reflects a wish that the hardships of that era will eventually become a story people can laugh about, as if common sense itself had been turned upside down.

In this piece, Punny is shown admiring vivid tropical flowers—bright and uplifting, as if simply looking at them can bring energy and comfort. It is a work that carries both the memory of a difficult time and a gentle sense of hope for the future.
